GG Network features: history, geography, security

GG Network is a poker network that serves several major poker rooms:

  • GGPoker;
  • Natural8;
  • PokerOK;
  • 7XL Poker;
  • WSOP.CA;
  • GGPuke.

The main difference between GGPoker Network skins lies in their localization.  95% of the promotions are the same for all skins, and the currency at the tables is the same.

GG Network (formerly known as Good Game Network) began operations in 2014 under the management of NSUS Limited.  Initially, it focused on the Asian market, but after the launch of the GGPoker brand in 2017, it entered the international arena.

👑 A key stage of development was the partnership with the WSOP in 2020, which allowed for official online WSOP championships with multi-million dollar guarantees:

●      2014–2015: Launch with a focus on the Asian market (China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other countries).

●      2016–2017: Entry into Europe with the launch of local brands, including Lotos Poker.

●      2018–2019: Expansion into Latin America and Canada, integration of popular payment systems - MuchBetter and Bitcoin.

●      2020 – present: Global growth, collaboration with top players, partnership with WSOP and other offline operators.

GG Network is owned by NSUS Limited, registered in the Philippines.  The actual management is carried out by a team from Manila and Hong Kong.  In 2021, investors from Europe, including former PokerStars executives, joined the project.

❕ The network operates under the license of PAGCOR (Philippines) and the Isle of Man regulator.  In 2023, it received a Curaçao license to operate in Latin America.  In Europe, some brands (GGPoker) are regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority.  The network uses a certified RNG, audited by BMM Testlabs and iTech Labs.

The main traffic is concentrated in Asia (China, Vietnam, India) and Eastern Europe.  After leaving the US market in 2024, the presence in Latin America (Brazil, Mexico) has increased, and in the CIS it remains popular through PokerOK, despite being blocked in the Russian Federation.

Lobby

The poker network maintains a uniform design style for all its poker rooms, including GGPoker, PokerOK, and Natural8.  The design has become more unified: differences in color schemes between brands have been removed, which simplifies the transition of players between different rooms.  The lobby is built on a single principle.  Main sections:

  • Cash Games;
  • Tournaments;
  • Sit & Go.

There is a "Fast Formats" tab, where all accelerated modes like All-In or Fold and Zoom are collected.  A unified filtration system is used for all its poker rooms.  An intelligent search is implemented, which takes into account the participant's preferences and offers suitable options.  Filters include standard parameters:

  • Game Type;
  • Limits;
  • Number of players.

When hovering over any table in the lobby, standardized information is displayed: the number of users, the average pot size.  There is an achievement system where progress is tracked across all platforms.  Mobile applications of all poker rooms operate on a single platform.  The interface is adapted to different screen sizes, while maintaining the overall style.

Table variations

After choosing a poker room and registering, players are offered the following types of poker:

●      All-In Or Fold;

●      Spin&Gold;

●      Battle Royal;

●      Rush&Cash;

●      Cash Games;

●      Flip&Go.

Cash games in the rooms are divided into several types:

✔️ Standard (6-max, 9-max) are available in all limits from micro-stakes to high;

✔️ Fast formats include Zoom (dynamic table change) and All-In or Fold (express game).

Anonymous tables are also implemented to protect against statistical trackers.  A feature of GG Network is the "Smart Table Selection" system, which automatically selects tables based on skill level.  PLO should be noted separately, where traffic is evenly distributed between 4-card and 5-card variants.

Poker variations

All major disciplines are supported, adapted to different types of visitors:

●      Texas Hold'em remains the most popular option with classic and shortened formats (6-max, Heads-Up).

●      Pot-Limit Omaha is presented in four-card and five-card variants (5-Card PLO), with the latter gaining particular popularity in high limits.

●      Short Deck (6+) retains its niche status, but is included in the main tournament grid.

An experimental Open-Face Chinese Poker mode has also been added, available in the PokerOK lobby.

Tournaments

Participants are offered a variety of formats, uniform for all poker rooms.  MTT (multi-table) include classic variants, Progressive KO and with a growing bank.  Spin & Gold (fast SNG with a random multiplier) remain a calling card.

A hybrid Blast & Go format, a mix of SNG and MTT, was also added.  The key feature is a shared guarantee pool: GGPoker focuses on large events (up to $5M), while PokerOK focuses on low buy-ins (up to $50).

Prime time and number of players

Peak load occurs between 20:00 and 02:00 Moscow time, when participants from Europe, Asia, and Latin America overlap.  During this time, online cash games reach 12,000 - 15,000 concurrent users, and tournaments reach 7,000 - 9,000 unique registrations in the starting stages.

Rake, rakeback and bonus program

A weighted rake system is used (depending on the limit and discipline).

Limit (BB)

NLHE/PLO (Rakeback)

Short Deck (rake-spotola)

0.01 / 0.02

$0.01 (5-7% of the pot)

$0.02 (6-8% of the bankroll)

0.50 / 1

$0.50 (4-5%)

$1 (5-6%)

2 / 4+

1.5-3 (3-4%)

2-4 (4-5%)

In Fast-Fold (Zoom) the rake is 10-15% higher.  Tournament rake:

  • Regular MTT — 7-10% of the buy-in;
  • Spin & Gold — 5-6% (fixed commission);
  • Satellites — 10-12% (due to ticket redistribution).

The bonus program depends on the poker room the user wants to play in.  Among the rewards that can be received after registration and for active play, it is worth highlighting:

  1. Welcome bonus;
  2. No deposit bonuses;
  3. Loyalty program with new privileges for status;
  4. Daily promotions.

The rules for accruing gifts and current promotions can always be checked in the relevant sections of the clubs.

Player support

Support helps with all questions 24/7 via:

●      Live chat;

●      Email support@ggnetwork.com ;

●      Telegram Bot.

Some clubs provide a personal manager, whose assistance can be obtained by increasing the status in the loyalty program.

Deposits and cashout

Each poker room offers an individual set of payment systems, however, they all support basic popular options:

●      Visa;

●      Neteller;

●      Skrill;

●      Bitcoin (BTC).

Deposit limits on average start from $10, as does withdrawal, but depend on the chosen payment method.  Withdrawal of funds is processed on average within 48 hours to electronic payment systems and about 72 hours to bank cards.

Poker trackers and HUD

The built-in Smart HUD is available for analyzing statistics at the tables — a universal tool that displays the key indicators of all visitors.  It works in a single format for all participants, ensuring fair playing conditions.  Any other third-party software is strictly prohibited on the site.

Prospects and conclusions

GG Network remains one of the top-3 poker networks in terms of liquidity and game variety, but it's not suitable for everyone. Main advantages:

✅ High traffic;

✅ Unique formats;

✅ Loyal bonus program;

✅ Protection against bots and collusion.

GG Network is the optimal choice for those who are willing to accept high rake for the sake of great liquidity and game variety. For professionals, it is interesting in mid/high-stakes (especially PLO and tournaments), but requires adaptation to the interface.
