Top poker news of the week: Historic WCOOP record, $18M GGPOKER promo race, and club battles

The beginning of October marked the final conclusion of the prolonged autumn tournament series in online poker, freeing up colossal amounts of liquidity.

While champions count their prize money on open European sites, regulars shift their attention toward regular cash tables and private club alliances with juicy lineups.

🏆 The milestone world championship has officially concluded on PokerStars, where Brazil's Felipe Boianovsky took down the premier title in the prestigious $10,300 NLHE Main Event, becoming the first player in history to achieve a double victory in WCOOP and SCOOP Main Events with a record payout of $551,632.

Another sensation of the week was the triumph of popular Argentine rapper Alejandro 'Papo MC' Lococo, who took home $343,242 in prize money in the Medium Main Event, while Finnish pro Aku Joentausta claimed the championship in the key $10,300 Omaha tournament.

🚀 To maintain tournament traffic after the conclusion of WSOP Online, the flagship room launched a massive $18M October Giveaway promo campaign with daily leaderboards, covering all popular formats: from classic Hold'em to exotic PLO5, PLO6, and fast-fold Rush & Cash tables.

For active multi-tablers, this marathon opens up a powerful source of additional EV, but fierce competition at the higher limits during day and evening hours forces many to look for softer alternatives without overloaded regular pools.

🎯 The annual Road to WSOP Circuit promotion has launched on the ClubGG client, allowing players to qualify for live stops in North America, while a recent server upgrade has reinforced in the Donkey Nation and UTPA alliances a steady influx of recreational players from the USA.

Meanwhile, WPT Global has rolled out an extensive grid of affordable qualifiers starting from $1.10 for prestigious live stops in Cyprus and Seoul, attracting hundreds of recreational players thanks to regular overlays in direct Sunday finals.

🔥 In private PokerBROS and PPPoker alliances, updated monthly leaderboards have kicked off, catching the wave of players heading to PLO5 and PLO6 tables with Double Board Bomb Pots mechanics, where pot dynamics are significantly higher than in traditional rooms.

In the Suprema Poker alliance, cash game activity returned to peak levels after the conclusion of the live cup in Águas de Lindóia, while club managers incentivize poker players transitioning from traditional rooms with increased rakeback of up to 70–75%.

💡 The October shift in the player pool has set clear priorities: the tournament hype in major poker rooms is gradually giving way to steady earnings in private mobile pools, where opponents don't use solvers and make gross positional mistakes.

The CC-Poker platform acts as your guarantor and takes on 100% financial bankroll protection, helps quickly configure PC emulators, and grants direct access to the most exclusive clubs with instant cryptocurrency payouts.
